Kizuna(紲-庵治石の味, 2013)
It is a movie about stone carpenter.
As there was no subtitle(neither Eng nor Kor), there was no choice to watch without it. Fortunately, the story of this movie mainly depicted not in the dialogue but in scenes.
In the opening, there seemed a child's memory, in which the father show him a wooden xylophone. The movie shows the small city where most of the people have stone-carving job. You can hear hammering sounds that strike stones. They are rather sweet than merely of noise. The story line is simple. After a child's father die, the father come back his home and pass the stone skills down to his grandson. The people admire nature - before they destroy a huge crude stone, they bow to stone. Sometimes they even taste stones, in which scene the child ask whether it's joke.
This is also movie about a young people settling down to the job and life, after some troubles. The young boy has his family, co-worker who give affection and help him design his future life. In the end, the grown-up child inherit his father's life. He show his child the instrument just like beginning of the movie.
